New Applications for the "I Move Electric 3" Program - The two categories of beneficiaries

New Applications for the "I Move Electric 3" Program

Thousands of beneficiaries now have the opportunity to participate in the "I Go Electric 3" program, following a reallocation of the budget carried out by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. This new move secured an additional 4 million euros for the action, increasing the total budget to 21.4 million euros for individuals and 11.6 million euros for businesses.

What is Expected for Performance?

The reallocation of the budget was done with the aim of covering categories that are in greater demand. At the same time, amounts from rejected applications —due to non-compliance with the terms of the action— are released and re-allocated to subsidize citizens who have already purchased or leased an electric vehicle.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport reports that the program is experiencing great success, demonstrating the growing adoption of electric mobility in our country.

Beneficiary Categories

The beneficiaries of the program are divided into two main categories:

Category A: Natural Persons

  • It concerns individuals who do not engage in business activity, have a Tax Identification Number and have reached the age of 18 at the time of submitting the application.

  • Any natural person may receive a subsidy for the purchase or lease of:

    • A purely electric car

    • An electric bicycle

    • An electric two-wheeler, three-wheeler or four-wheeler.

In addition, beneficiaries can benefit from:

  • Subsidy through the withdrawal of an old vehicle.

  • Subsidy for the purchase of a "smart" recharging point, provided that the technical specifications of article 12 are met.

Category B: Businesses and Legal Entities

  • All businesses and legal entities with headquarters or branches in Greece are included, except for public limited liability companies.

  • Businesses must not be in bankruptcy or receivership.

How Electromobility is Enhanced

The "I Move Electric 3" program continues to support the transition to a more sustainable form of transportation, empowering both individuals and businesses. With the additional funds allocated, the adoption of electric vehicles is expected to increase significantly, contributing to environmental protection and the reduction of pollutants.
